Gabriele Di Toma - Pianist

Gabriele Di Toma’s vast experience as a performing pianist include a personal reinterpretation of – and improvisation on – Wagnerian themes at the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, performing a ‘live soundtrack’ for Fritz Lang’s silent Film The Nibelungs, and improvised accompaniments for a series of silent films at the Theatre Goldoni in Venice.

He has worked at the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice as a Maestro di Sala with conductors such as: George Prêtre, Eliau Inbal, GianLuigi Gelmetti, Gabriele Ferro, and Peter Maag.

From 1974 to 2007 Di Toma was Professor of Piano at the C. Pollini Academy of Music in Padua.

Organ Recitals

Di Toma is also an accomplished organist and has inaugurated restored or newly made organs in the Provinces of Treviso, Belluno and Padua.
